Managing your list

Your subscriber list is the foundation of every campaign. Keeping it clean and organised makes a real difference to your deliverability and engagement rates.

Uploading subscribers

Go to Lists in your dashboard and click Upload. Resonate Reach accepts CSV files. The only required column is an email address — you can also include:

  • First name and last name
  • Any custom fields you want to reference in campaigns

After uploading, Reach will validate your list and flag addresses that look invalid, so you can review them before they affect your sends.

Organising with segments

Segments let you filter your list based on attributes or behaviour. For example:

  • Subscribers who joined in the last 30 days
  • Contacts in a specific region
  • People who clicked a link in a previous campaign

You can send to a segment the same way you send to a full list — just select it when setting up your campaign.

Unsubscribes and bounces

Reach handles these automatically:

  • Unsubscribes — anyone who clicks the unsubscribe link in your email is removed from future campaigns immediately.
  • Hard bounces — addresses that can't receive email are flagged and suppressed to protect your sender reputation.
  • Soft bounces — temporary delivery failures are tracked, and persistent ones are eventually suppressed too.

You don't need to manage any of this manually. It happens in the background so your list stays healthy over time.
