What's tracked
| Metric | What it means |

| Delivery rate | The percentage of emails that reached a recipient's inbox (or spam folder) without bouncing. |
| Open rate | How many recipients opened your email, as a percentage of delivered emails. |
| Click rate | How many recipients clicked a link in your email. |
| Bounces | Addresses that couldn't receive your email. Hard bounces are permanent; soft bounces are temporary. |
| Unsubscribes | Recipients who opted out after receiving your campaign. |
Reading your results
A healthy campaign typically shows:
- Delivery rate above 95% — if it's lower, check your list quality and sender authentication.
- Open rate between 20–40% — varies widely by industry and list quality.
- Click rate between 2–5% — depends heavily on your content and call to action.
These are general benchmarks. What matters most is your trend over time — whether your metrics are improving, holding steady, or declining.
Using analytics to improve
- Low open rates — experiment with subject lines and send times.
- Low click rates — look at your email content. Is the call to action clear? Is the email too long?
- High bounce or unsubscribe rates — review your list quality and how people were added to it.
